Presentation Overview

Bringing NDBI to Life: Practical Project ImPACT Strategies for RBTs

Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBIs) are evidence-based approaches that integrate developmental and behavioral principles to support young children with autism. This presentation will provide Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) with a practical introduction to NDBI strategies through the lens of Project ImPACT. Attendees will learn how to embed teaching opportunities within play and daily interactions, use child-led strategies to increase engagement, and implement core techniques such as modeling, prompting, and natural reinforcement. Emphasis will be placed on translating these strategies into real-world ABA sessions to promote communication, social engagement, and skill generalization. Participants will leave with actionable tools they can immediately apply in their work with clients.
